Champions League returns this week with some of the best match ups we can expect during the group stages.
Borussia Dortmund (Germany) vs. Real Madrid (Spain), Tuesday 2:45 EST, FOX Sports 1, ESPN 3
Tuesday brings us Borussia Dortmund vs. Real Madrid. American wunderkind Christian Pulusic should see plenty of action against the Spanish giants and two time defending champions. Madrid has struggled this season already due to injury and suspension having lost once and tied twice in their first six games.
By contrast, Real had six draws and three losses across 38 matches as they won La Liga last year.
Dortmund finds themselves on top of the Bundesliga with five wins and a draw after six matches, and Pulusic has started fast with two goals and an assist.
Dortmund is in need of some points after dropping its opener on the road against Tottenham, and Real might just be vulnerable.
Atlético Madrid (Spain) vs. Chelsea (England), Wednesday 2:45 EST, FOX Sports Regionals, ESPN 3
This was always going to be an interesting fixture in a tough group, but with bad boy Diego Costa finally getting his wish to return to Atlético last week from Chelsea, it makes the match a little more special, even if Costa can only watch from the stands until January.
Costa's replacement Alvaro Morata is coming off a hat-trick and is a co-leader in goals in the Premier League with six in six games.
The match features two of the more entertaining managers on the sidelines in Diego Simeone of Atlético and Antonio Conte of Chelsea.
PSG (France) vs. Bayern Munich (Germany), Wednesday 2:45 EST, FOX Sports 1, ESPN 3
With the big money moves of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, PSG has become must watch television. Bring in one of the top clubs in the world in perennial German Champions Bayern and this is the most compelling fixture of the week.
Now throw in the drama reportedly brewing on and off the field with Edinson Cavani and Neymar clashing at PSG, and the fixture of the week becomes one of the early fixtures of the group stages to watch.
